Resources are working alongside a market leader in engineering, procurement and
construction services to the on and offshore oil and gas
market to source an experienced Planning Engineer.
They are a large multinational company who have made a
name for themselves by taking on challenging projects in often remote areas.
This is an urgent requirement for an experienced Planning
Engineer to be based to be based offshore in Angola on a 1 year contract
(renewable).
The rotation will 28 days on and 28 days off with flights
booked and prepaid.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
-Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant
engineering discipline
-Full and comprehensive working knowledge of MAXIMO and
SAP
-Experienced planning engineer with good CMMS experience.
-Offshore experience (desired)
-Ability to travel offshore (although this is a
predominantly onshore based role)
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Initial phase
1.Ensure the implementation of the Planning and Progress
Control System (Set-up type/ levels of schedules and the Progress Measurement
System considering Project complexity, areas of risks, policy duration, in
compliance with the Project Breakdown Structure, the internal standards and the
Contract specifications).
2.Interface with other Company Functions or Discipline
Leaders.
3.Prepare budget histograms, tables, curves, resources
logs (Manpower, Materials, Equipment) as reference baselines.
4.Ensures that the project's planning and scheduling
requirements are properly and clearly communicated to those functionally
responsible for executing the work.
5.Issue the Planning & Scheduling Procedure and the
Progress Measurement Procedure
Execution phase
1.Ensure Planning and Progress Control System works
effectively.
2.Assess and report on progress status and completion
forecast.
3.Maintaining records for contractual claims/obligations.
4.Extensive use of Company/Partner/Client IT systems &
reports.
5.Create and maintain 90 days look-ahead schedule, weekly,
monthly;
6.Isolate any adverse trends and take corrective actions.
7.Review monthly the forecasts
8.Participates to the coordination meetings
