The Role:
The position is for Senior Risk Engineer with preferably over five years Oil and Gas field experience, onshore and offshore, able to undertake safety studies with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Principle Consultant, the candidate must have the following experience:
Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
Control of Major Accident Hazard (COMAH) Reports
Identification of HSE Critical Equipment and Systems (HSECES) and Development of Performance Standards / Verification schemes
Safety Studies (EERA / ESSA / Dropped Object etc)
Gas & Smoke dispersion / Vent / Flare Analysis
Building Risk Assessment
Development of HSE Cases
Fire Safety Assessment
Reliability, Availability, Maintainability Studies
Working knowledge of QRA software packages, such as DNV PHAST / SAFETI and Shell
Shepherd / FRED is essential, and workshop software packages would be desirable.
The Individual:
The individual will be expected to be technically competent and able to work on their own and collectively with a team.
The individual must be able to demonstrate Risk & Process Safety knowledge and over fiveyears’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry of major accident hazards.
To this end, the individual should have:
A team player, capable of forward planning, setting objectives and target oriented;
Sensitive to local customs with excellent verbal / communication & influencing skills;
An experienced and capable user of information technology and common operating
environment applications.
