Overview
The Operations/Facilities Engineer is responsible for monitoring,
analysing and responding to the operational performance of the assets. The role
will work in close liaison with subsurface, commercial and accounting personnel
to recommend/implement appropriate measures to optimize performance. Over and
above the operations and technical responsibilities, the role includes
representing the Company at Operating and Technical Committee meetings. This
role will lead the company’s efforts in interfacing with the JV partners to
ensure that safety and environmental objectives are achieved, legislative
compliance is maintained, and investment efficiency in the assets is maximized
for the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Accountable for loss analysis and mitigation plans across the Assets.
• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the Field
Operators and Partners. Establish a culture of open and effective communication
and co-operation, in order to influence their activities and improve asset performance.
• Assist the Operations Director in the management of the Co-ventures by
preparing for and participating in OCM’s and TCM’s.
• Assist the Operations Director in preparing annual budgets and life of
field plans for producing assets and provide regular reports of actual and
planned production and costs.
• Monitor and report asset performance, efficiencies and losses against
budget using KPIs and scorecards and analyse and report on variances.
• Actively participate in Project teams to provide operational input
into assessments, evaluations and Due diligence of 3rd party assets,
operability of new field developments, peer reviews and other initiatives.
• Compile reports on filed performance for internal use and for issue to
stakeholders, Co-Venturers, DECC, HSE.
• Identify, specify and manage 3rd party technical studies and scopes of
work as appropriate.
• Demonstrates commitment to Endeavour’s HSEQ policy and statement.
Ensure contractors and suppliers understand Endeavour’s HSEQ expectations and
meet required standards.
• Demonstrate a visible commitment to HSE Leadership and exhibit company
values. Participate in offshore visits, incident investigations risk
assessments and safety reviews are required.
AS OCM AND TCM Representative:
• Ensure that operations are conducted efficiently and are free from
unplanned events and risks are continuously managed to be as low as reasonably
practicable.
• Prepare annual work programme and budgets / financial projections in
conjunction with technical support functions. Regularly review and report
actual performance against plan and implement appropriate corrective actions as
required. Provide informed asset forecasts for volumes and costs.
• Coordinate the efforts of subsurface, drilling, facilities, commercial
and other support team members in formulating viable asset development. Provide
stewardship in advancing appraised opportunities and performance enhancements
through project sanction gates along with the JV operators.
• Assist in risk based evaluation of assets being considered for
acquisition.
• Provide technical input into field decommissioning programmes and
operations.
Qualifications
Relevant Engineering Degree
Experience/Skills Required
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
• Basic skills in planning software such as MS Project or Primavera and data-bases such as Access.
• Sound commercial awareness with a clear understanding of financing/cost principles.
• Working knowledge of EHS Management Systems and other applicable regulations to O&G industry.
• Being able to work and communicate effectively across different technical and organisational interfaces.
• Hazard and Risk Management including job safety analysis.
• Emergency preparedness, participation in Emergency Response Plans and ER drills.
• Contract management.
• Incident Reporting & Investigation.
• Audit & Assurance.
• Ability to develop and delivery Annual Plans and Budgets.

• Experience of conducting technical/facilities studies.
Health and Safety:
Working knowledge of HSE legislation applicable offshore and a detailed knowledge of Safety Case and supporting Regulations
Position holder may be required to visit offshore installations
