The major duties of the job are as follows:
• Support the HSSE Manager to ensure the compliance of all HSE and specifically environmental related Government regulations and Company policies and procedures.
• Support Murphy's operations in all issues relating to HSSE, to include workplace, technical, operational, and environmental aspects. Serve as the focal point environmental related matters.
• To coordinate the implementation of the HSE Management System (HSE MS) in accordance with the regulatory requirements, HSE Policy, HSE MS, MS Manuals and annual HSE Plan.
• Develop / coordinate HSSE activity plans, manuals, procedures, and standards to ensure that Murphy's facilities and operational processes pose minimal risk and compliance to regulatory requirements.
• Review and advice operations on environmental related procedures and practices to assure that worksite operations comply with Corporate Murphy HSSE policies and regulatory requirements.
• Plan (including preparation of scope of work and work order request) and coordinate resources required for implementation of environmental programs, initiatives and plans to minimize and prevent environmental pollution.
• Liaison with operational personnel on reporting, investigation and follow-up of incidents to ensure up to date information is obtained, root cause(s) are identified and corrective and/or preventive actions are implemented on a timely manner.
• Prepare periodic reports and presentation on environmental performance for management information, decision-making and reporting as required by various stakeholders. Reports prepared are not limited to weekly and monthly reports.
• Prepare HSE/environment related tender plans, conduct bid evaluations and prepare technical evaluation reports for other associated services.

Qualification and Experience:
• Degree in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-10 years of working experience in upstream oil & gas.
• Proactive and motivated.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Strong organization skills.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of internationally recognized HSE standards.
• Familiarity with Malaysian Acts and Regulations.
• Valid BOSET / HUET training.
