alongside a market leader in engineering, procurement and construction services
to the on and offshore oil and ...gas market to source an
experienced Turbine Supervisor.
They are a large multinational company who have made a name for themselves by taking on challenging projects in often remote areas.
This is an urgent requirement for an experienced Turbine Supervisor to be based offshore in Angola on a 1 year contract (renewable).
The rotation will 28 days on and 28 days off with flights booked and prepaid.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- HND minimum in relevant engineering discipline
- 10 years experience in mechanical maintenance with at least 5 years experience on turbines.
- Basic training on gas turbines TURBOTECHNICA Frame 5 THM1304 Man – Turbomaschinen and TURMO 3 Turbomeca
- Good Knowledge of Mechanical principals/ Vibration analysis/ instrumentation/ process control and safety systems used on rotating equipment in offshore oil and gas.
- Proficient on Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and Access)
- Proficient user of CMMS OPTIMIS
- Offshore experience (desired)
- Ability to travel offshore (although this is a predominantly onshore based role)
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Assists site teams, advises and provides them with technical support
2. Focal point for maintenance operations, management performed on turbines by site teams.
3. Participates with the other specialists and production leaders in the failure causes search and diagnosis of breakdowns
4. Analyses problems related to availability and to safety problems of turbines
5. Provide solutions for repair regarding all material of turbines and associated equipment, in accordance with TFEA.
6. Assists Methods/ Planning Mechanics in creation and modification of maintenance procedures or instructions
7. Initiates stock order requests, warehouse restitution and dispatch for repair of various electrical equipment
8. Writing specifications for repairs or modification of equipment
9. Monitor equipment status (experience feedback, abnormal events, behaviours, ageing, Lifetime expectation)
10. Takes part in various operability/ safety audits
