APD Technician - Malaysia

As an Archer APD Technician you will have a key role in the growth and development of Archer as a complete Well Services provider. You will be trained in the use of Archer proprietary equipment as well as commodity products and use this in new and established markets. You should have the ability to train colleagues in your areas of expertise and to be a resource for Archer in the overall improvement of the quality of these. The role requires that you are independent to manage technical and operational issues in this role. Within your scope of responsibilities will be job planning and execution, post-job analysis, and ensuring the overall performance of the Archer APD service, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company safety procedures.

Job Description

This role will be required to:

• Fully comply with the company’s Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Systems
• To assist Clients in screening potential wells requiring intervention services
• Attend pre- and post-job Client meetings when required
• Ensure the Client's technical objectives are always understood.
• Ensure correct planning of operation including mobilization of correct equipment
• Travel to and perform field operations at oil and gas wellsites, possibly in remote geographical areas.
• Evaluate and interpret data during and after APD operations. Analyze well site related problems and apply appropriate technological solutions to solve them.
• Maintain sufficient working knowledge of Archer proprietary equipment and commoditized well services equipment that you are required to use.
• Communicate to Line Supervisors/Managers any concerns, suggestions, ideas and improvements
• Train other technicians in competence of your expertise when required by the Operations Managers
• Ensure the job report is produced to required standard in a timely and efficient manner
• Establish good rapport with colleagues and onsite client engineers
• Attend schools and seminars as requested by management and to remain up to date in training as required
• Perform other essential functions which may be assigned by management
